Content is great, but the app has serious flaws
I used my free week and was sent another deal for $1 for 3 weeks. I accepted this offer, knowing that my account would be charged at the end of the 3 week period if I did not cancel my account. I knew very well that I did not want to be charged the outrageous $19.99 for a month of this program when I already have the ebook version of the guide, so I cancelled my account through the app. The app said, "Were sad to see you go!" And I thought I was finished. Apparently not.
The app doesnt also tell you that, in order to not be charged for a new month, you need to cancel your account through what you originally paid with (AKA PayPal for me). The app makes it seem like your membership has been cancelled and you will no longer be charged. That is not the case.
I contacted customer support and they were very kind in telling me that I cannot get a refund and they had no record of me cancelling my account, but I can still use the app for the month I didnt want to pay for.
I do not mean to bash the people working with customer service this app, because it is not their fault and the girl I talked to was very kind and I do believe she genuinely wished she could help. This needs to be clarified in the app, not just in the FAQ, so people no longer get charged for a membership they thought they cancelled. They should not have to read FAQ to find out that the big pink "CANCEL ACCOUNT" button actually does nothing of the sort.
Use this app, as the workouts and meals are great, but be aware that there are flaws and know that you cant just click "cancel account" and actually cancel your account.
